HOW TO PLAY How to play an Objective Game https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dIoWXgu-N1CfrH_T173aGs3z1W3vK-nr9KZ2xJS8fs0/edit?usp=sharing TL;DR Rules - To sign up, submit a character and objective that fits with that game’s theme. The announcement for the game will have more specific instructions. - You will choose a Character from any IP and possibly a few Objectives depending on the game. An objective can be anything you can think of, finding a time crystal, making a sandwich, holding an anime convention, anything goes! - When the game begins, everyone will start at a specific location on a unique map made just for that game as designed by all submitted objectives. - Each phase you must submit two phase actions to the MysteryBot bot via DM: Action (!do) and Movement (!move). An action can be to use an item, to attack another player, investigate an object, do the macarena, anything you can think of. You can only do ONE action and ONE movement per phase. - Once all players at your location submit their actions and movements and the GM is ready the channel will LOCK. The GM will resolve the actions by posting what happens in that channel and may send some players private DMs. The bot will move players to the next location and the next phase will begin. - The game ends when the GM says it does. - No DMs between players. - Text cannot be copy and pasted, with one exception: if the text is written down in-game (such as a poem found in a book) or if the GM declares the text can be copied. How to play a VGMGG
To participate in the VGMGG portion of this game:
>
- at the end of every phase, you will gain access to a special guessing channel, as well as a VC. - in that channel, be the first to guess what song is playing and/or what game the song is from to get points
>
The game gets harder as it goes on.
>
Here are the rules. Please read them properly:
>
- You get 1 point for each correct guess, such as the name of the game or the song name. If the song name isn't guessed, you might get points for explaining where/when the song plays. - INSANE DIFFICULTY songs give you 3 points for any correct guess. - Incomplete guesses get 0.5 points. This means saying Paper Mario instead of Super Paper Mario, for example. Incomplete guesses give 0 points in insane mode. - Vague guesses get no points. This means saying Pokemon or Mario on their own instead of the game itself as they are huge series. - Typos and abbreviations are fine as long as they aren't vague or unreadable. Saying OoT instead of Ocarina of Time is fine. - You are not allowed to guess "stage 1 2 3 4 5" by spamming. Guess 3 numbers at most otherwise no one will get the point for the answer. - No googling, looking up on youtube or searching names.
>
Remember, these guessing games are not just about getting points, but also listening and finding new videogame music. Enjoy yourself and don't get salty!

The Signup Process The signup criterium will be video game characters! Easy enough, right? When signups end: you'll be put in pairs of two (2). In these pairs, you can: - pick your characters - pick 1 (one) personal objective each The only requirement is that you and your partner's objectives are similar OR related to each other in some way. This can mean a lot of things, here's some examples: Person 1: Destroy the Eiffel Tower Person 2: Take a picture of myself at the Eiffel Tower Person 1: Win a hot dog eating contest Person 2: Win a 100m sprint Person 1: Meet and befriend Frankenstein's monster Person 2: Become Dr. Frankenstein Of course that's not by all means even close to the things you could do! Get creative! How this game will work, is that all of you will get an item that tracks the points you get guessing songs, and you can use those points to do various things around the environment. You'll see what exactly you can do with those points; after we've done our game design-work based on your submitted characters and objectives when the game starts! (edited)
